Utilities

 

The City of Frederick supplies electricity (through the OK Municipal Power Authority), sewage, water, and trash services. The utilities can be connected at City Hall, 300 West Grand Avenue, (580) 335-7551

Natural Gas is provided by Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG), located at 119 North 9th Street, (580) 335-7539

Local and long distance telephone and Internet service is provided by Pioneer Telephone Cooperative, located at 108 North 9th Street, (580) 335-2152.

Health Care

 

Memorial Hospital & Physician Group, a service of Comanche County Memorial Hospital, is located at 319 East Josephine in Frederick, and is one of the premier hospitals in rural Oklahoma. We strive to provide the best for our community, offering a 24-hour emergency room, a well equipped laboratory, and modern x-ray facilities. The hospital has an excellent medical staff which includes Francois J. duToit, MD, Addi S.A. Shar, MD, Maha Sultan, MD, and Kendra Stacey, ARNP, MS, with office hours Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., plus Saturday, from 8 a.m. to noon. Among the services provided in our Radiology Department are CT, Flouroscopic, Ultrasound, and routine radiographic, with a consulting Radiologist on site twice a week.

Memorial Hospital & Physician Group offers physical therapy for sports injuries and rehabilitation, occupational and speech therapy, diabetic education and home health services. Our facility also provides skilled nursing services, stress testing, general surgery weekly, ob/gyn surgery biweekly and a physiatrist in the Clinic monthly. An integral part of Memorial Hospital & Physician Group is the Memorial Nursing Center-a 30-bed nursing home established in 1988.

Memorial Hospital & Physician Group also supports the local economy by purchasing services from area businesses whenever feasible. Education

 

     Frederick has 3 elementary, one middle high, and one high school. Superintendent Mike Hagy and administrative offices can be reached at (580) 335-5516. Frederick also has a full service vocational-technical school, Great Plains Area Vocational-Technical School, offering day and night classes to teens and adults of all ages. It is east of town at 2001 East Gladstone, phone (580) 335-5525. Campus Director is Gary Tyler.
